Established by the United Nations Team of Experts on the Rule of Law and Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Team of Experts), the CRSV Prosecution Network responds directly to requests from Member States, including their prosecutors, investigators, judges and other practitioners for specialised, practical, and context-specific support.

For sixteen years, the UN Team of Experts has assisted more than thirty Member States in strengthening rule of law institutions and advancing accountability for CRSV. Across diverse conflict and post-conflict settings, national prosecutors have demonstrated that, when adequately resourced, trained and supported, domestic justice systems can play a decisive role in combating impunity and delivering justice for survivors.

The CRSV Prosecution Network builds on this experience and the explicit requests by practitioners expressed during the first international conference of prosecutors on accountability for CRSV held in The Hague, in March 2024. The CRSV Prosecution Network creates a structured, practitioner-driven community to accelerate engagement, rapid knowledge exchange, and practical survivor-centred approaches to accountability for CRSV.
